Hard backed safety head restraints are now coming standard in most new vehicles . This is making the installation of headrest monitors more challenging .
At AV Solutions we have been working with this type of headrest to enable the installation of a headrest monitor without interfering with the safety system . Most importantly making the installation look factory fitted, unlike the universal fitted replacement headrests that are available on the market that do not look factory.
"2011" VW Touareg (safety headrest monitor installation)
2011 VW Touareg headrest that we have installed a 7 inch widescreen monitor and re-trimmed the back of the headrest to match . The added benefit to this conversion is that the original headrest is used and can be put back to standard if the vehicle is sold .
"2009" Mercedes S-Class (safety headrest monitor installation)

2009 Mercedes S-Class headrest . We have installed a 6.5inch widescreen monitor in this conversion . On the later Mercedes S-Class we can now install a 7inch Widescreen Monitors .
"2009" BMW X5 (safety headrest monitor installation)
2009 BMW X5 ( E70 ) Headrest .We have installed a
7inch widescreen monitor in this conversion . BMW X5 & X6 use the same headrest type .In this installation the back part of the headrest has been trimmed to match the seat backs.
"2011" Mercedes S-Class (safety headrest monitor installation)
2011 Mercedes S-Class Headrest . In the latest type of mercedes headrest we are able to install a 7inch widescreen monitor. This type of headrest is now shared with C-Class, E-Class,ML & GL .
