About "Neck Pro" Headrests

Neck-Pro crash-responsive head restraints are new automatic headrests that are

linked to an electronic control unit. In the event of a rear end crash, sensors detect if the crash is severe enough and,

if it is, it automatically adjusts the headrests.

This provides head support for front occupants early on in the crash by releasing pre-tensioned springs inside the head restraints, causing them to move forward by 40 mm and upward by up to 30 mm in a split second

Since the introduction of this type of hard backed headrest it has made it more difficult to install a monitor , most importantly maintaining the safety system.

At AVS we invested in to an idea and developed a small pod which still allows the features of the safety features of the headrest but with the facility of a flush mounted screen which is trimmed to match the vehicle.

There have been many different styles of safety headrests,  in 2006  Merc  C / E / ML /GL /  & R -Class we were able to install a 6.5inch widescreen monitor , these have since changed enabling us to install a slimline 7inch Widescreen Monitor.

Neck Pro Headrest Conversions

Please Note : With any of the headrest conversions we carry out on Neck Pro headrests , We do NOT interfere with the airbag safety system in any way. All conversions are carried out on the rear of the safety system and screen cables are passed through the headrest poles. The headrest operates up and down and normal.
